A Case Study of Older and Female Outpatients’ Satisfaction at Jengka Public Health Clinic, Pahang

Abstract

This study investigates the satisfaction among older and female outpatients towards the services rendered by a public health clinic in Jengka, Pahang. The respondents were mostly not highly educated and earning a low family income of less than RM2000 monthly. With the background of the respondents and fewer complaints, unlike the urban outpatients, it is important to determine the satisfaction among these older and female outpatients. The findings reveal that there is a significant difference in the mean of service satisfaction between more than 60 years and 20-59 years old outpatients. It is also found that older outpatients (more than 60 years old) are satisfied (m=3.9048) with the services provided. While there is no significant difference in the mean of service satisfaction between male and female outpatients, even though female outpatients are more satisfied (m=3.5691) than male outpatients.
