This special issue of Gading Journal for Social Sciences under the theme Language and Education features seventeen articles that cover topics related to theories and practices in the classroom. Ten of these articles are the outcomes of the ‘Road to PhD’ colloquium organised by the Academy of Language Studies UiTM Pahang for its lecturers who intend to pursue their doctorate studies. The other six papers are contributed by practitioners who would like to share their practical classroom experiences and the current topics in language and education.
